Data Engineer – Mid Level Greece

Role overview Build and operate the data pipelines, transformations, and models that turn raw inputs into dependable datasets for analytics, business intelligence, and AI applications. You will own pipelines end to end and work closely with data scientists and software engineers to shape data systems for a marketing intelligence environment.

Responsibilities - Design and maintain production ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data to downstream users and systems. - Create SQL transformations and dbt models that are documented, tested, version-controlled, and reusable. - Design and operate warehouse or lakehouse structures and relational databases to suit different access patterns. - Set up orchestration, monitoring, data quality checks, and lineage to improve trust in datasets. - Partner with data scientists and software engineers to support analytics, BI, and AI workflows. - Document designs clearly for product managers and engineers.

Requirements - Experience building production data pipelines and working with a data warehouse or lakehouse. - Strong SQL and Python skills, plus good habits around version control, testing, code review, and CI/CD. - Experience with dbt or comparable data transformation practices. - Familiarity with pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster. - Hands-on experience with a cloud platform such as GCP or AWS. - Ability to communicate technical designs clearly in writing.

Nice to have - Distributed processing with Spark or similar, or experience with Docker and Terraform. - Familiarity with vector or graph databases, ML/LLM data systems, or embeddings and feature-serving pipelines. - Experience with event-driven systems, Kafka or Pub/Sub, and streaming data.
