Python Developer

Role overview Develop backend services for applications and APIs used to analyze genomic data in research and diagnostic settings. You’ll help maintain and improve a Python web stack, working with frontend engineers, product managers, and domain experts to deliver reliable features and support them in operation.

Responsibilities - Build server-side functionality and responsive communication between frontend and backend systems. - Maintain and extend a Python application stack covering clinical and web products and an API. - Take ownership of custom client functionality through delivery, with responsibility for quality. - Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, testing, and performance improvements. - Coordinate with frontend engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to scope work and resolve dependencies. - Contribute to deployments, monitoring, and on-call rotations as needed.

Requirements - A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field. - Hands-on experience building REST APIs with Django and Django REST Framework. - Knowledge of software design principles and relational databases. - Strong testing practices and experience writing maintainable, well-tested code. - Ability to collaborate in code reviews and work across teams.
