Sr. Software Engineer II / Tech lead, External Platform EMEA (Poland, Remote)

Role overview

Lead engineering work for an external platform supporting operational data, reporting, administration, integrations, and business-critical infrastructure. The role combines technical leadership, hands-on full-stack delivery, production ownership, and people management in a remote position based in Poland.

Responsibilities

- Set technical direction for gaps in a telematics data platform and influence product and engineering roadmaps. - Partner with multiple engineering teams to make architectural decisions and assess downstream customer impact. - Deliver and refine customer-facing features across front-end, back-end, and mobile layers. - Maintain production systems, provide operational support, and contribute to core architecture and engineering practices. - Hire, mentor, and lead an inclusive, engaged, high-performing engineering team. - Promote consistent engineering and collaboration practices across a growing international organization.

Requirements

- At least 7 years of experience designing and building software products. - Proven ability to design, deploy, and maintain highly scalable distributed systems. - Experience building and operating products that use machine learning. - Background mentoring engineers and leading technical design and delivery work. - Experience owning large, long-running initiatives from product definition through production support. - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.

Nice to have

- Experience with customer-facing web or mobile workflow applications. - Familiarity with Go, GraphQL, TypeScript, React, or React Native; direct experience with every listed technology is not required. - Strong customer focus, problem-solving ability, and interest in iterating from user feedback.
