Job details
About this role
Role overview A senior engineering role on the Developer Experience team, focused on the "outer loop" of the software development lifecycle from pull request through production. The team is building an AI-enabled software factory that automates code review, deployment, and rollback so engineers can move faster without sacrificing reliability. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the United States, with no relocation assistance provided.
Responsibilities - Scale in-house CI/CD systems to support higher pull-request throughput across the engineering organization. - Use AI-driven workflows to retire tech debt that would be too costly to tackle through manual means. - Design deployment safeguards such as production validation and automatic rollbacks to keep releases safe at scale. - Build observability, evaluation, and feedback systems that improve AI-driven automation over time. - Partner with product engineering teams to reduce operational toil and make safe, AI-enabled delivery practices easy to adopt. - Turn emerging AI capabilities into production-ready engineering systems and serve as a thought leader on AI-assisted development.
Requirements - 8+ years of experience designing and building products on a software engineering team. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - 3+ years working on developer experience, CI/CD, or platform engineering-focused teams. - Hands-on experience building AI workflows, orchestration systems, or other AI harnesses. - Strong track record of pushing complex systems from prototype to production.
Nice to have - Experience shaping AI-assisted developer tooling, including evaluation, observability, or feedback loops. - Familiarity with sandboxing, safe deployment patterns, and risk-aware code review.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote within the United States. - Flexible working model that supports both in-person and remote collaboration depending on team needs.
