Role overview A Developer Experience team is hiring a Senior Software Engineer II to help build an AI-enabled software factory that moves code from pull request to production more safely and efficiently. The work spans CI/CD systems, deployment safeguards, and observability tooling that turn emerging AI capabilities into production-ready engineering platforms. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the United States; relocation assistance is not provided.
Responsibilities - Scale in-house CI/CD systems to support higher pull-request throughput across the engineering organization - Reduce technical debt using AI-driven workflows that would be cost-prohibitive otherwise - Design and build deployment safeguards that protect production at scale, including AI-assisted monitoring and remediation - Build observability, evaluation, and feedback systems that improve AI-driven automation - Serve as a thought leader for using AI to raise engineering productivity while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and signal - Partner with product engineering teams to reduce operational toil and make AI-enabled delivery practices easy to adopt - Convert successful experiments into platforms used across the company
Requirements - 8+ years of experience designing and building products as a software engineer - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience - 3+ years of experience on developer experience, CI/CD, or platform engineering teams - Hands-on experience building AI workflows, orchestration systems, or other AI harnesses - Proven track record of working across the full software development lifecycle
Nice to have - Experience shipping AI-native tooling into a large engineering organization - Background mentoring engineers or leading technical direction across teams
