Forward Deployed Engineer (Blockchain Integrations)
Job details
About this role
Role overview Help customer engineering teams take payment integrations from an initial technical discussion to production use. You will work directly in customer code when needed, connecting agent frameworks and wallet or custody services to payment APIs, then turn lessons from each deployment into reusable guidance and examples.
Responsibilities - Lead technical integrations from kickoff through live traffic, wiring agent frameworks, wallet or custody providers, and payment APIs together and testing the result. - Create sample applications, SDK examples and integration documentation that make future deployments easier. - Explain escrow and settlement flows on Base and Solana, including what happens when a payment is denied, refunded or held. - Turn customer issues into reproducible engineering reports supported by logs and clear steps. - Serve as the first technical contact for live customers and respond within one business day.
Requirements - Have integrated a payments or blockchain API into production for another organization, with work that can be demonstrated through code, write-ups or a reference. - Write TypeScript or Python well enough to navigate and contribute to an existing codebase. - Have handled EVM or Solana transactions in code, including signing, submitting and checking transaction state. - Live in a country where the organization can hire.
Nice to have - Experience implementing x402 or AP2, or operating agents that make real payments. - Familiarity with wallet providers or custody tools such as Safe, Privy, Turnkey or Fireblocks. - Experience in a customer-facing engineering or support role.
Benefits and work setup The role offers vesting equity, health coverage or a contribution toward private cover, 25 vacation days plus public holidays, a year-end closure, 14 weeks of paid parental leave, a laptop and workspace allowance, and an annual learning budget. The stated US salary range is incomplete in the supplied source, so no figure is included; offers outside the US are benchmarked to local market rates. Hours are flexible, with a shared availability window of 14:00–17:00 UTC and occasional customer travel. A compatible second job is allowed, subject to a restriction on work for companies selling competing payment or wallet infrastructure to the same customers.
