Role overview
This is a hands-on deployment role focused on bringing an AI-enabled system into small and mid-sized businesses and making it useful in everyday work. You will own the last mile between a configured product and reliable adoption: understanding the operating environment, resolving integration and usage problems, and shaping defaults that work for real users. Success means the system continues to provide value after the initial launch rather than merely responding during a demonstration.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute deployments for organizations that may not have dedicated internal IT support. - Configure the system around real workflows, users, data, permissions, and operational constraints. - Diagnose whether an issue is caused by authentication, product design, data quality, configuration, or user misunderstanding. - Guide users through adoption and adjust the implementation when actual usage differs from the expected workflow. - Establish sensible defaults that make the system simple to use without making it fragile or unsafe. - Document deployment patterns and lessons so future implementations become more consistent and effective.
Requirements
- Experience implementing software or operational tools for small and mid-sized businesses. - Strong troubleshooting ability across technical, data, product, and user-facing failure modes. - Comfort working directly with clients through ambiguity, changing requirements, and imperfect starting conditions. - Ability to translate complex system behavior into clear instructions and practical next steps. - A product-minded approach to configuration, defaults, reliability, and the details that determine whether people keep using a system. - Patience and persistence with the final stages of implementation, including training, iteration, and follow-through.
