Senior Project Manager, Professional Services (German Speaking)

Role overview A senior project management role within a Professional Services organization that delivers complex, customer-facing technical implementations for enterprise accounts. The position is remote within Germany and requires fluent German and English, with responsibility for steering large, concurrent engagements from kickoff to sign-off while helping shape internal governance practices.

Responsibilities - Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent, enterprise-scale customer projects in fast-paced technology environments - Define scope, success criteria, milestones, deliverables, and resource plans; ensure execution stays on schedule and budget - Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks, technical dependencies, and escalations before they grow - Act as the principal point of contact and escalation owner for customer executives, internal cross-functional teams, and third-party vendors - Drive quality control across project lifecycles so outputs meet both internal standards and customer business objectives - Partner with PS leadership to refine the PMO framework, including standard procedures, methodologies, KPIs, utilisation, and portfolio reporting

Requirements - Eight or more years of direct project management experience delivering enterprise, customer-facing technical projects within a Professional Services or consulting setting - Track record of running multiple complex client engagements concurrently in a fast-moving technology environment - Previous experience supporting customers in financial services, government, or healthcare - Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and make sound judgments in ambiguous, high-pressure situations - Expert command of modern project management tooling such as Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, or Asana, plus Google Workspace - Fluent written and spoken German and English - Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

Nice to have - Recognised credentials such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum (CSM, PMI-ACP), or Lean - Hands-on background or foundational knowledge in data management, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), data protection, enterprise storage, cybersecurity, or SaaS delivery - Financial acumen around professional services metrics including revenue recognition, margin, utilisation, and project profitability - Prior contributions to PMO governance practices
