Head of Delivery

Role overview A senior leadership role running the Delivery organization for a computer vision platform that helps developers and enterprises build, deploy, and manage visual AI applications. The position owns Implementation Engineering and Forward Deployed Engineering, shaping the operating model while staying hands-on with the hardest customer deployments that move ambitious computer vision use cases from idea to production.

Responsibilities - Lead and scale Implementation Engineering and Forward Deployed Engineering, defining organizational structure, roles, processes, and operating cadence as the company grows. - Work directly with customers and team members on complex implementations, jumping into architecture discussions, scoping deployments, troubleshooting, and joining executive conversations when needed. - Build repeatable frameworks for scoping, implementation, deployment, escalation, and handoff without forcing every customer into a single model. - Partner with Sales and Solutions Architects pre-contract to set customers and internal teams up for successful deployments. - Establish clear definitions of implementation success, time-to-value, deployment health, and customer outcomes, and build the systems to measure and improve them. - Hire, coach, and develop Implementation Engineers and Forward Deployed Engineers who combine technical depth with strong customer instincts and high ownership. - Create tight feedback loops with Product and Engineering so that hard customer learnings shape the roadmap.

Requirements - Experience building or leading a customer-facing technical delivery, forward deployed engineering, implementation engineering, or professional services organization at a technical software company. - Deep technical credibility and comfort working alongside engineers on complex customer problems. - A hands-on leadership style that stays close to the work rather than managing from a distance. - Personal experience moving complex implementations from promising proof of concept to production system. - Strong people leadership skills with a track record of attracting, developing, and retaining highly technical talent. - Ability to operate across technical and business audiences, from engineers to executives. - Sound judgment on prioritization and resource allocation when multiple important customers need support simultaneously.

Nice to have - Prior experience building a Delivery or Forward Deployed Engineering function at an earlier stage. - Background in developer tools, infrastructure, AI/ML, data platforms, robotics, computer vision, or another deeply technical product area. - Experience supporting deployments that involve both software and the physical world, and with enterprise customers on complex, multi-stakeholder rollouts.
