Role overview A senior analyst role focused on healthcare data within a care navigation setting, generating analytics that demonstrate program impact to clients and strategic partners. The position blends hands-on analytical work with technical leadership, guiding standards and best practices across the analytics ecosystem. It supports management, operations, and other internal departments through quarterly performance reviews, ad hoc inquiries, and strategic analyses.
Responsibilities - Build operational analytics using eligibility, medical claims, and member interaction data to surface trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities across care navigation. - Integrate and blend data from disparate source systems into unified, reliable reporting datasets supporting both operational and client-facing needs. - Support lightweight data engineering initiatives, including DAG development, automated file ingestion, and reporting delivery controls. - Use BI and visualization tools to deliver data storytelling, evaluating clinical program effectiveness and establishing recurring efficacy measures. - Partner cross-functionally to provide actionable insights, refine data processes for scalability, and deliver strategic and ad hoc analyses. - Help identify AI opportunities, surface technical challenges, and recommend strategies to operationalize solutions.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. - Expert proficiency with SQL, relational databases, Python, and version control; familiarity with DBT or similar platforms. - Strong BI skills with Tableau, Metabase, or comparable tools, plus cloud data experience (preferably AWS). - 5-8 years of quantitative analytics experience on large healthcare datasets, with solid knowledge of medical claims data. - Strong communication skills with experience producing memos and presentations for executive stakeholders. - Proven ability to mentor junior team members and apply responsible AI practices.
Nice to have - Familiarity with healthcare data regulations such as HIPAA and associated best practices. - Experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow. - Understanding of machine learning and data science concepts. - Familiarity with the pharmacy benefit management industry and pharmacy claims data.
Benefits and work setup - Compensation range noted in source: $92,000 to $135,000 annually, plus bonus and equity, with adjustments based on geographic location, experience, and qualifications.
