Lead Data Migration Consultant

Role overview

Lead data migration work during end-to-end software implementations for investment management customers. You will coordinate with customers and implementation colleagues to define migration needs, prepare and validate financial data, and help deliver reliable go-lives.

Responsibilities

- Plan and lead data conversion projects from initial scoping through completion, maintaining data accuracy and integrity. - Gather customer requirements for client management, portfolio accounting, and performance data, then map, transform, and cleanse source information. - Reconcile source data against system results, investigate variances, and guide customers through technical issues. - Coordinate migration dependencies with project managers and functional consultants as part of broader onboarding work. - Work with data specialists to improve migration processes, automation, and accuracy; contribute to improvements in the onboarding experience. - Communicate migration status and answers clearly to customers and internal teams, in writing and in conversation.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics. - At least five years of experience in investment management, with knowledge of financial instruments, asset management data flows, reconciliation, and reporting. - In-depth familiarity with portfolio accounting systems, performance measurement, transaction types, and asset classes such as equities, fixed income, and foreign exchange. - Strong SQL, ETL or data integration, and Excel skills; experience managing complex data projects from planning through delivery. - Clear client-facing communication, attention to detail, and sound problem-solving; able to manage competing priorities independently and with a team. - Authorized to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

- Project management experience or successful enterprise software implementations. - Familiarity with Agile practices, software development lifecycles, or coaching customers on tools and processes. - Exposure to cloud services, APIs, serverless systems, professional services tools, or a finance credential.

Benefits and work setup
