Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Role overview A senior engineer is needed to carry features from concept through production on a Django and JavaScript stack that powers a loan-lifecycle platform used by mortgage lenders. The scope reaches from the lender-facing workflow UI down to the rules logic and external integrations that keep each loan record connected. The position is remote with a full-time schedule and a salary band of $150,000–$185,000.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and ship features across the Django backend and the JavaScript frontend that lenders use day to day - Develop UI flows covering origination, processing, underwriting, closing, and post-closing stages so handoffs stay visible - Implement and tune the business rules that drive credit, property, residual income, and compliance decisioning - Connect the platform to third-party systems for credit, title, flood, eSign, identity, and servicing data - Talk with customers directly to scope work, validate designs, and iterate after release - Maintain code quality through reviews, testing, and clear documentation

Requirements - Several years of professional experience building production web applications with Django and modern JavaScript - Track record of owning features end to end, from ideation to deployment and ongoing support - Ability to translate real-world lending and operational workflows into reliable, maintainable code - Strong communication skills for working with customers and cross-functional teammates - Authorized to work in the United States now, or open to future sponsorship - Comfort operating in a small, fast-moving team where engineers ship directly

Nice to have - Background in loan origination systems, mortgage technology, or adjacent fintech products - Familiarity with reverse mortgages, FHA case processes, or lending compliance workflows - Experience integrating APIs, identity providers, and data pipelines into a shared record - Interest in operations, compliance, or secondary-markets tooling
