Role overview
This senior frontend role involves delivering complex, data-driven web applications from user-interface design through API integration and production release. You will improve the end-user experience while helping mature the technical architecture, make independent decisions on substantial projects, and keep interactive products stable and maintainable.
Responsibilities
- Lead frontend features from UI design through implementation, API communication, testing, and production delivery. - Build complex, interactive web applications for exploring and presenting data. - Develop rich visualizations and user experiences with D3.js and related frontend technologies. - Collaborate on GraphQL and backend integration to ensure reliable communication between the interface and services. - Make pragmatic refactoring decisions in a technically complex codebase to improve stability and maintainability. - Take ownership of high-level projects, communicate decisions clearly, and seek support when needed. - Maintain application quality through automated testing and attention to production stability.
Requirements
- At least five years of in-depth experience building data-driven web applications. - Strong experience with React, TypeScript, GraphQL, D3.js, and Node.js. - Confidence creating complex, interactive interfaces. - Ability to work independently, lead significant initiatives, and communicate effectively while solving problems. - Experience with automated testing and maintaining application stability. - Ability to assess technical complexity and refactor toward more stable, maintainable code.
Nice to have
- Experience writing end-to-end tests with Playwright. - A strong background in data visualization and D3.js.
