Remote job
Backend / Fullstack Engineer (AI-first) B2B
Job details
About this role
Role overview
Join a fully remote, Latin America-focused fintech as a senior backend or fullstack engineer working on B2B cross-border payments. The team supports businesses, partners, and high-volume financial flows, where reliable integrations, contractual requirements, reconciliation, and compliance are central to the product. You will help build and scale infrastructure that connects companies and financial activity across multiple markets.
The defining expectation is an AI-first engineering workflow: you should already use coding agents as part of your everyday toolkit. This is not an AI research position, but a product engineering role for someone who combines strong fundamentals with a practical, disciplined approach to AI-assisted development.
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve backend or fullstack systems for B2B cross-border payments. - Develop solutions for complex integrations involving business partners and financial counterparties. - Support high-volume transaction flows and the operational processes around them. - Contribute to reconciliation and compliance-related capabilities required for financial infrastructure. - Use AI coding agents as part of the development workflow while maintaining engineering quality and accountability. - Help scale a growing domain whose demands are increasing faster than the existing team capacity.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in backend or fullstack software engineering. - Strong interest in fintech, payments, and solving complex infrastructure problems with real-world impact. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment. - Practical experience building with AI coding agents as a normal part of software development. - Ability to work across a broad engineering scope rather than focusing exclusively on AI specialization.
Benefits and work setup
- Full-time, fully remote role open to candidates in Latin America. - Work on financial infrastructure supporting cross-border business payments and remittance-related operations.
