Senior Software Engineer - Frontend - Upload & Stream Team

Role overview Build the interfaces that power a leading live video platform as a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Upload and Stream team. The role combines craft and engineering rigor, partnering with design and backend teams to ship polished user-facing features that creators rely on every day.

Responsibilities - Craft interfaces and interactions that feel fast, clear, and dependable across web services - Design and implement UI and front-end business logic for new and existing features - Collaborate with a product designer to deliver intuitive, user-friendly experiences - Participate actively in code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback - Track emerging frontend and infrastructure technologies and identify opportunities to apply them

Requirements - Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern ECMAScript specifications - Deep expertise with React and major state management patterns - Experience with CSS preprocessors such as LESS or SASS - Basic backend skills in Node.js, building REST APIs, and working with relational or NoSQL databases - Comfort working across TypeScript, MobX, AWS, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and continuous deployment pipelines - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Self-directed, analytical, and effective within a small team

Nice to have - Experience with additional programming languages beyond the JavaScript ecosystem
