Role overview Serve as a strategic bridge between defense customers and internal software teams, translating complex operational needs into deployable technical products. The full-time position combines remote work with travel to customer sites and requires an active U.S. Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Responsibilities - Lead on-site discovery and operational workflow mapping, converting Unified Network Operations and Tactical Network Operations procedures, tactics, and operational orders into executable engineering briefs. - Identify high-value uses for generative AI and low-code or no-code dashboards to improve operational planning and mission-dependent network visualization. - Work with forward-deployed engineers and subcontractors to coordinate the ingest, federation, and data modeling of specialized initialization, spectrum-allocation, and satellite-authorization data. - Validate and deploy scalable software architectures and secure multi-echelon agent infrastructures across multiple security enclaves. - Lead installation support and training for operational units during validation events and tactical exercises. - Deliver demonstrations, technical proposals, and briefings to audiences ranging from junior analysts to senior executive leaders, while helping assess product opportunities against operational requirements.
Requirements - An active U.S. Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility. - Hands-on experience with network management, tactical communications, and command-and-control interoperability tools such as MAVEN, NGC2, INB2, Terminus, or Tactical Assault Kit. - Experience applying systems engineering or technical coordination to translate Statements of Need into agile user stories, development plans, and system architecture artifacts. - Ability to investigate open-ended problems in unstructured environments while remaining mission-focused and collaborative. - A record of producing technical documentation, embedded help, or configuration guides that enable novice operators to install and maintain complex network software.
Nice to have - Advanced AI experience involving agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, or model orchestration in air-gapped environments. - Prior military service as a senior NCO, warrant officer, or commissioned officer, particularly in technical leadership at division, brigade, or higher level. - Familiarity with tactical network planning, cryptographic key management, or logical and geographic Network Common Operational Pictures.
