This is a senior-level software engineering position on a small, founder-adjacent team building a consumer AI product used by millions worldwide. Responsibilities
- Own features from initial idea through user-facing release rather than working on isolated engineering slices - Partner directly with the founder and a tight team to decide what gets built and why - Translate ambiguous, early-stage concepts into shipped product without waiting for complete specifications - Critically review product requirements and advocate for alternatives when trade-offs do not hold up - Remove blockers for teammates and maintain a collaborative, non-siloed working culture - Adopt new tools, including AI-assisted coding workflows, to accelerate delivery
Requirements
- Demonstrated history of shipping consumer products that reached real users at scale - Experience driving complex features end to end, not only incremental refactors or maintenance work - Prior founding engineer or early-stage startup background - Strong coding skills paired with fluency in agentic and AI-assisted development - Product taste and design intuition, with the ability to spot user-experience problems early - Comfort reasoning from first principles instead of copying familiar patterns

- Experience as a true founding engineer or being early enough to build from a blank slate - Comfort operating without a detailed specification in hand - Track record of shipping consumer products that produced noticeable, felt impact
