About this role
Role overview A hands-on engineering role focused on designing and implementing automation that reduces operational overhead and improves system reliability. The work centers on building tools, workflows, and infrastructure automation so organisations can run their systems more efficiently and at lower cost.
Responsibilities - Build infrastructure automation across diverse environments to reduce manual intervention. - Develop workflow and scheduling systems that coordinate operational processes. - Automate recurring operational tasks to improve consistency and turnaround time. - Improve system reliability through proactive tooling and process refinement. - Optimise infrastructure cost by identifying and eliminating waste in compute, storage, and related resources.
Requirements - Strong scripting or programming experience in .NET, PowerShell, or Python. - Demonstrated experience with infrastructure automation in production environments. - Working understanding of at least one major cloud platform, such as Azure or AWS. - Comfortable working in Linux environments for day-to-day operations.
Nice to have - Hands-on experience with container platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes. - Familiarity with serverless architectures and their trade-offs. - Exposure to infrastructure cost optimisation techniques and FinOps practices. - PowerShell module development experience.
