About this role
Role overview Improve the internal systems that support a distributed workforce, spanning identity and access, collaboration tools, endpoint management, and SaaS administration. You’ll own complex technical improvements from assessment through rollout, balancing security, reliability, and employee experience while strengthening documentation and team practices.
Responsibilities - Improve identity services, including single sign-on, automated account provisioning, multifactor authentication, access policies, and emergency access. - Administer and refine Google Workspace users, groups, email, file storage, sharing, and security configuration. - Develop device management practices across macOS, Windows, and Linux, including security configuration, software deployment, and onboarding. - Automate onboarding, role changes, and offboarding across identity, devices, and SaaS tools using workflow platforms, APIs, webhooks, and scripts. - Assess connected systems, investigate cross-service issues, address root causes, and establish application setup, integration, approval, and access review practices. - Partner with security and risk teams on controls and evidence collection for ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2; lead projects through scoping, design, rollout, and handover.
Requirements - Hands-on experience across identity, collaboration tools, endpoint management, and SaaS administration, with the ability to troubleshoot how these systems interact. - Strong expertise in at least one of Okta, Google Workspace, or JumpCloud, plus the ability to work across the others. - Experience deploying or substantially improving an MDM or endpoint management platform, from configuration and testing through low-disruption rollout. - Ability to build maintainable automation using workflow tools, APIs, webhooks, and Python or a comparable scripting language, with suitable error handling and monitoring. - Examples of assessing and improving systems or processes with clear results for employees or IT operations. - Independent ownership, sound technical judgment, and the ability to make a practical plan from an unclear problem and explain trade-offs.
