Video Annotation Specialist

Role overview

This contract role supports the preparation of high-quality training data for AI systems by reviewing videos of robotic arms completing assigned tasks. The work centers on careful visual analysis, consistent annotation against detailed guidelines, and clear communication about findings, ambiguities, and quality issues.

Responsibilities

- Review video footage to identify important actions, events, and outcomes during robotic-arm task sessions. - Apply grading rules consistently to tag and annotate relevant moments in each video. - Use video-annotation platforms to capture structured observations and produce accurate labeled data. - Work with trainers and other contributors to resolve unclear cases and maintain consistent interpretation of the guidelines. - Document findings and submit completed annotation datasets in line with project standards and deadlines. - Participate in quality reviews, respond to feedback, and communicate progress or blockers through written and verbal channels.

Requirements

- Previous experience with video annotation, data labeling, or comparable visual-data review work. - Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when identifying and tagging events. - Strong written and spoken English communication skills for collaboration and reporting. - Reliable time management and self-organization for independent remote contract work. - Familiarity with video-annotation tools or similar data-labeling software. - Analytical, proactive problem-solving skills when annotation cases are unclear or inconsistent.

Nice to have

- Experience contributing to AI-training, machine-learning data-preparation, robotics, or related projects. - A background in quality assurance for structured datasets or annotation workflows.
