About this role
Role overview A Project Manager is needed to drive the transition from a newly signed commercial agreement into live delivery, establishing PMO processes and coordinating planning, governance, reporting, and change management across business and technical teams. The role sits inside a recently acquired consumer lending business within a global IT services group, giving the successful candidate the chance to shape the project management approach as the company scales. It suits a structured, hands-on PM who is comfortable building the scaffolding as well as running it.
Responsibilities - Prepare the project management plan and a detailed work schedule for end-to-end implementation. - Assign tasks, coordinate daily team activity, and monitor progress against the plan. - Manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies raised by the project team. - Track budget usage, ensure deadlines are met, and optimise the use of human resources and skills. - Take accountability for the overall success of the project and the quality of deliverables produced by the team. - Prepare and present implementation reports and carry out additional tasks needed to meet the project objective.
Requirements - Project management experience across multiple technologies, with strong process and people management skills. - Demonstrated command of methodologies such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile, and Lean/Six Sigma, plus governance and stakeholder management. - A technical qualification in project management (PMBOK, PMI CAPM/PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile) is desirable. - Foundational knowledge of the ITIL framework or service management approaches. - Proven leadership, teamwork, problem-solving ability, initiative, and integrity. - Strong negotiation, dispute resolution, and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
