Role overview
This role supports the compliance engineering function, building backend systems that help the organization meet its regulatory and policy obligations. The engineer works on services and tools used by trust, safety, legal, and policy teams. The position is fully remote within the United States.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services used for compliance workflows - Partner with policy, legal, and operations stakeholders to translate rules into engineering requirements - Improve data pipelines and integrations that surface compliance-relevant signals - Contribute to system reliability, monitoring, and incident response - Participate in design reviews and mentor other engineers
Requirements
- Several years of experience as a backend engineer, ideally at the senior level - Proficiency in one or more backend languages and modern data stores - Familiarity with compliance, trust and safety, or regulated workflows - Comfort working cross-functionally with non-engineering partners

- Prior work with privacy, content moderation, or regulatory reporting systems
