This Data Engineer role centers on building dependable data solutions that create practical value for customers. You will work across pipelines, platforms, and data models in a technology-agnostic environment, with opportunities to broaden your skills and progress toward more senior responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines using ETL and ELT patterns. - Design data models and contribute to scalable data platforms and warehouse or lakehouse solutions. - Work with customer requirements to translate business needs into useful, maintainable data products. - Develop cloud-based data solutions and apply sound practices for version control, delivery, and reliability. - Collaborate with data and technology specialists across different customer environments. - Help create high-quality datasets that support analytics, reporting, and broader business decision-making.
Requirements
- Several years of relevant experience, whether gained in software engineering or data engineering. - Hands-on experience building data pipelines and data models. - Strong SQL skills and programming experience with Python or another language such as Scala, Java, or JavaScript. - Understanding of data services in at least one cloud environment: Azure, AWS, or GCP. - Solid Git and CI/CD fundamentals. - Familiarity with modern data platforms and fluent written and spoken Finnish, in addition to English.
Nice to have
- Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Databricks, or Microsoft data-platform technologies. - Understanding of data lakehouse architecture or traditional data warehousing. - Awareness of DataOps, data quality management, business intelligence, or visualization tools such as Power BI or Omni. - Experience delivering end-to-end solutions on Databricks, especially alongside Snowflake and dbt.
