About this role
Role overview
Own customer deployments of an operational technology platform, from learning site workflows and planning implementation through adoption and measuring results. Work directly with frontline teams and senior stakeholders, partnering with engineering and product groups to turn field needs into practical workflows and product improvements. The role combines customer delivery, hands-on analysis and early-stage process building, with regular travel to customer sites across North America.
Responsibilities
- Shadow operators, supervisors and site leaders to understand daily work, constraints and success measures. - Set deployment goals, manage plans and weekly customer reviews, and communicate progress, risks and next steps. - Create quick reports, dashboards, analyses or prototypes to address gaps and evaluate potential product features. - Translate site observations and evidence into clear requirements for product and engineering teams. - Support prospect visits and identify opportunities to expand deployments with existing customers. - Develop the playbooks and practices needed to grow the deployment function.
Requirements
- 3–5 years in a customer-facing technical role, such as deployment, solutions engineering, technical program management or product work, with ownership of outcomes. - Experience leading complex projects or deployments end to end and coordinating across teams without formal authority. - Evidence of creating a process, playbook or team practice that others adopted. - Confidence leading senior-stakeholder meetings, communicating difficult news and working with both executives and frontline operators. - Sound product judgment and the ability to distinguish customer requests from underlying needs and document them clearly. - Ability to quickly build a useful report, dashboard or lightweight tool; U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
Nice to have
- Experience deploying technology in industrial, mining, energy or government settings, including awareness of safety, uptime, shift, connectivity or compliance constraints. - Familiarity with computer vision, AI/ML, IoT or real-time data products; experience mentoring, managing or hiring; or work in sensitive, mission-critical environments.
Benefits and work setup
- Fully remote workforce, with about 25% of time spent onsite with customers across North America. - Medical, dental and vision coverage, unlimited paid time off, a 401(k) with a 4% safe-harbor match, equity and a home-office allowance.
