Job details
About this role
Role overview Step into a hands-on System Administrator role covering access, support, and asset management for a distributed team that primarily works on Apple devices. You'll balance day-to-day IT operations with infrastructure and security projects, while steadily automating the recurring requests that fill your queue. The role sits at the intersection of IT support, internal tooling, and AI-assisted operations.
Responsibilities - Own the full access lifecycle, including provisioning, periodic reviews, and revocation, with each action documented in-ticket. - Resolve support and service requests end-to-end so distributed colleagues stay productive. - Administer Google Workspace and Jira Service Management, including intake forms and request workflows. - Manage the GitHub organization, including members, teams, repository permissions, and access changes. - Maintain Jenkins nodes and the GitHub–Jenkins integration, covering webhooks, credentials, and build agents. - Operate an almost entirely Apple fleet via MDM, including enrollment, configuration profiles, OS updates, and security baselines. - Identify recurring request patterns and replace them with automation and self-service.
Requirements - 3+ years of system administration experience, including hands-on Google Workspace and macOS administration in a company setting. - Proven ownership of asset management processes. - Intermediate Linux command-line skills and working knowledge of AWS and GCP. - Discipline in documentation and adherence to access policy. - Service-oriented mindset with comfort supporting non-technical users through to resolution. - Good written and verbal English (B2 or higher preferred).
Nice to have - Experience configuring Jira or Jira Service Management. - Hands-on MDM administration experience. - Scripting skills for task automation and familiarity with CI/CD concepts. - Linux or networking certifications.
Benefits and work setup - Opportunity to apply AI tooling in IT operations, from triage and request classification to reducing manual handling. - Freedom to propose and build automations that cut your own manual load. - Scope to shape IT practices as they evolve, with growth toward enterprise-level processes.
