Software Engineer - Latam

Role overview Lead product engineering for a software platform serving brands and creators in social commerce. You will own features from discovery through release, working across backend systems and user interfaces while helping shape architecture, engineering practices, and the use of AI-assisted development.

Responsibilities - Research, design, build, test, and ship product features end to end. - Set architectural direction and standards for code quality, testing, and development across the stack. - Build scalable backend services and responsive, accessible user interfaces. - Work directly with customers to turn loosely defined needs into polished product experiences. - Mentor engineers in effective AI-assisted workflows and establish reusable practices. - Make technical and process decisions that support fast delivery and learning.

Requirements - Two to six years of professional, backend-leaning full-stack experience in a product-focused or similarly demanding environment. - Ability to deliver across the stack, from data schema and APIs to detailed frontend experiences. - Evidence of owning a substantial feature, product area, or technical improvement through delivery. - Strong product and design judgment, alongside a focus on maintainable, testable code. - Ability to work independently and guide engineering standards and decisions. - Practical experience using AI coding tools as a central part of development, with sound judgment in reviewing their output.

Nice to have - Experience with Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, cloud infrastructure, React, TypeScript, or modern component and styling systems. - Familiarity with agent frameworks, multi-agent orchestration, tool integrations, or deploying agents in production. - Experience with generative image or video features, early-stage startups, scaled internal tools, mentoring, or design systems. - Open-source contributions, side projects, or close collaboration with designers.
