Role overview
The role centers on finding where clients lose hours to manual data movement, chasing approvals, and rebuilding reports, then designing and shipping the automation that gives that time back. Work blends no-code tools like n8n with custom APIs and code wherever off-the-shelf platforms fall short.
Responsibilities
- Map existing client processes and design replacement workflows. - Build and maintain automations across CRMs, spreadsheets, payment tools, help desks, and messaging platforms. - Add production essentials such as retries, error handling, alerts, logging, and clear ownership. - Judge when a no-code workflow is sufficient and when custom code is the better choice. - Document builds so clients can operate them independently after handover.
Requirements
- Experience building workflows with n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar tools, including hitting their limits. - Comfort reading API documentation and writing JavaScript or TypeScript. - Habit of designing for failure cases, not only happy paths. - Enjoyment of turning messy, manual processes into clear, repeatable systems.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with webhooks, OAuth, and rate limits. - Background in operations, finance, or support, giving firsthand knowledge of the work being automated.
