Remote job
Senior Software Engineer - Go & Rust, Blockchain Infrastructure
Job details
About this role
Role overview Design and operate the distributed systems behind blockchain data services, building across Go and Rust. This senior individual contributor role spans architecture through production support, with technical leadership through system ownership, mentoring, and engineering standards.
Responsibilities - Build and optimize backend services, APIs, and data pipelines for high throughput and low latency. - Own Go services and Rust components, including architecture, concurrency, resource use, testing, deployment, and operations. - Design systems to ingest, validate, process, and serve blockchain data with strong availability, consistency, and fault tolerance. - Profile and benchmark production workloads, diagnose failures across services and infrastructure, and deliver lasting improvements. - Assess security risks and strengthen protections for transactions, data, credentials, and system integrity. - Coordinate with product, infrastructure, security, and developer experience partners; review designs and code, mentor engineers, and document decisions.
Requirements - At least eight years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial work on large-scale backend or distributed systems. - Advanced professional experience shipping and operating production software in both Go and Rust. - Strong knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency, algorithms, memory safety, databases, networking, operating systems, and software architecture. - Experience delivering measurable gains in performance, availability, correctness, or developer experience. - Background in blockchain infrastructure, node or RPC services, streaming pipelines, high-throughput APIs, or similarly demanding platforms. - Secure design and testing experience, plus communication skills and judgment to lead ambiguous cross-team projects.
Nice to have - Experience with major blockchain protocols and their node, RPC, indexing, or transaction-processing systems. - Prior technical ownership spanning multiple teams, incident leadership, or mentoring.
