Role overview

This senior engineering role focuses on product definition for aerospace and defense programs, producing manufacturable 3D models and complete documentation packages from concept through detailed design. The position supports mission-critical work that demands rigorous configuration control, and it operates remotely with U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

- Convert scan data into accurate 3D CAD models within Siemens NX using advanced scan-to-CAD workflows on point clouds and mesh files - Build and maintain engineering documentation packages, including 3D models, 2D drawings, specifications, requirement matrices, and Critical to Quality parameters, while adhering to configuration control protocols - Partner with engineering teams on initial 2D concepts and develop 3D product models, outlines, and layouts - Produce dimensioned detail drawings for high-complexity parts and apply tolerance stack-up analysis to confirm fit, alignment, and assembly performance - Participate in product design reviews and coordinate work across project, engineering, and manufacturing groups - Manage proper filing, control, and export classification of design data throughout the product lifecycle

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, or a minimum of six years of professional experience in a scientific, engineering, or technology discipline - Working knowledge of ASME and ISO standards covering engineering drawings, PMI implementation, and CTQ analysis - Advanced proficiency with Siemens NX and Teamcenter environments - Ability to interpret technical drawings and design intent notes, with strong attention to drafting accuracy - Familiarity with aerospace industry standards, regulations, and best practices - Strong communication, multitasking, and deadline-management skills in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting

- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and assembly techniques relevant to aerospace applications
