Senior SDET - Platform [Remote-US]

Role overview A senior engineering role focused on building the shared quality engineering platforms, automation frameworks, and developer tools that let QA and product engineering teams ship reliable software. The position blends software development, quality engineering, security testing, and AI enablement, working across multiple teams to turn recurring testing problems into reusable, trusted solutions.

Responsibilities - Design, build, test, and maintain shared automation frameworks, internal services, and developer tools that serve multiple QA and engineering teams. - Partner with QA and engineering to identify common testing needs and validate functionality, integration, reliability, performance, and usability across application and platform layers. - Build and evaluate AI-assisted and agent-based testing capabilities using repeatable evaluations, human oversight, controlled tool permissions, and fallback behavior for unreliable outputs. - Develop automated security testing for APIs, applications, and shared platforms, covering authentication, authorization, access boundaries, and sensitive-data handling, and verify fixes with security counterparts. - Integrate reusable quality and security checks into CI/CD workflows with actionable diagnostics, maintainable test data, and clear documentation across supported environments. - Investigate failures and production issues in shared tools, run targeted experiments, drive adoption through documentation and mentoring, and measure improvements in coverage, manual effort, and feedback time.

Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Typically 6–8 years of software testing experience, including 3+ years building test automation frameworks, quality engineering tools, or shared testing platforms. - Strong programming skills in Python, with applied experience building test infrastructure. - Demonstrated experience designing and shipping shared platforms or internal developer tools from design through rollout and continuous improvement. - Hands-on background in security testing for APIs, applications, or shared platforms.

Nice to have - Experience evaluating AI safety and robustness, including prompt injection, unintended tool actions, and information leakage. - Experience building shared capabilities for test data, test environments, quality reporting, or diagnostics. - Experience establishing testing standards and enabling adoption of shared quality engineering practices across teams.
