Role overview

Improve the reliability, security, and performance of customer-facing services by applying software engineering practices to production infrastructure. The work spans cloud operations, automation, incident response, compliance, and collaboration with development and customer-facing teams.

Responsibilities - Build and operate secure, scalable services on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP. - Automate routine operations, manage backups, and configure systems for high availability and disaster recovery. - Establish observability, monitor performance, investigate issues, and reduce recurring operational work. - Join on-call rotations, troubleshoot incidents, and lead post-incident reviews. - Apply infrastructure-as-code practices and coordinate complex customer account provisioning with delivery teams. - Work with engineering, QA, and support colleagues to improve production services.

Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. - At least six years of SRE or similar production operations experience. - Strong Windows or Linux administration skills and scripting ability in Shell, Python, or PowerShell. - Experience with cloud services and familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, HTTP, and TLS. - Knowledge of security practices and compliance frameworks, including PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or SOC 2. - Strong debugging, automation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have - Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, or other container orchestration tools. - Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. - Experience supporting cloud-hosted applications and services.
