Software Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

- Translate research insights and product ideas into robust, production-ready code for autonomous platforms. - Collaborate with research engineers to mature prototypes into performant production systems with clear timelines. - Profile and tune systems, applying low-level optimizations for portability and scalability. - Connect application software with robotic platforms, sensors, and integrated hardware. - Contribute to engineering practices that emphasize technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

- Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Python. - Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and systems-level programming including threading, synchronization, and memory management. - Proven ability to debug, profile, and optimize complex software systems. - Comfort navigating a fast-paced, distributed startup environment with shifting priorities. - Strong sense of ownership over the code you ship.

Nice to have

- Experience with autonomy, robotics, or other performance-critical domains. - Familiarity with machine learning methods applied to natural language processing or autonomy. - Background in embedded systems and real-time applications.
