Job details
About this role
Role overview
Build and improve the customer-facing booking experience for a multi-country healthcare commerce service. This senior frontend role owns complex areas such as product selection, payments, scheduling, and partner-assisted booking, with responsibility for how features perform in production as well as how they are built.
Responsibilities
- Develop accessible, high-performance features using React, Next.js App Router, and TypeScript. - Own components and features in a booking area, with scope to take responsibility for that area end to end. - Build and evaluate booking funnel experiments with Product and Marketing, considering sample size, guardrail measures, and whether results indicate a real improvement. - Contribute to frontend architecture, including server and client boundaries, state management, and typed forms; discuss design proposals with senior engineers. - Integrate commerce APIs and external services for payments, promotions, customer management, identity, and location lookup. - Instrument releases, monitor performance and errors, improve Core Web Vitals, and follow through on production issues; contribute to accessibility checks, automated tests, code review, and mentoring.
Requirements
- Typically four or more years of frontend engineering experience, including at least three years building production applications with React and TypeScript. - Strong knowledge of Next.js or a comparable React framework, including routing, server-side rendering, and server/client tradeoffs. - Solid understanding of browser fundamentals, semantic HTML, modern CSS, and responsive interfaces. - Experience delivering accessible, tested user interfaces and collaborating across engineering, design, product, and business teams. - Ability to work through ambiguous problems, balance delivery speed with quality, and take ownership of production outcomes.
Nice to have
Experience with payment integrations, headless commerce or promotion platforms, Tailwind CSS, design systems, privacy-aware analytics, or consent tools. Multi-region commerce experience—including currencies, locales, and timezone-aware scheduling—is useful, as is work on growth experiments, funnel analytics, marketing attribution, booking, healthcare, or regulated products.
Benefits and work setup
The stated base salary range is $145,000–$170,000, depending on experience and location. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and mental health coverage; a retirement savings plan without employer matching; flexible vacation; commuter support; and a complimentary whole-body scan for team members. The team also holds weekly gatherings. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer visa sponsorship.
