Role overview
Build and lead the commercial data strategy and foundation for an organization preparing to launch and scale therapies for central nervous system disorders. The role connects commercial teams with data, analytics, and IT, making information more reliable and useful for decision-making, automation, and emerging AI capabilities. It may be performed remotely, with travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Develop a connected, trusted data environment across commercial domains such as customers, products, payers, patients, and engagement. - Define data requirements, standards, ownership, and operating processes so information is well structured, high quality, accessible, and usable. - Establish governance practices covering stewardship, definitions, metrics, hierarchies, metadata, business rules, and quality expectations. - Monitor data quality, address root causes of issues, and set clear accountability for maintaining reliable information. - Work with commercial, analytics, product, and technology teams to prioritize scalable data, analytics, automation, and AI capabilities. - Translate business needs into roadmaps, requirements, success measures, and adoption plans, working with internal teams and external partners.
Requirements
- At least eight years of relevant experience in commercial data, analytics, commercial operations, data strategy, or a related field in pharma, biotech, or life sciences. - Experience supporting pharmaceutical or biotech commercial operations; launch or major commercial expansion experience is preferred. - Ability to turn commercial priorities into data strategies, capability roadmaps, and investment recommendations. - Experience setting up data governance, ownership, quality standards, and operating processes. - Practical understanding of AI and automation, including assessing use cases, requirements, value, feasibility, and responsible use. - Technical fluency to work effectively with IT, data engineering, analytics, and commercial systems teams; strong communication and stakeholder leadership skills.
