Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines supporting cross-functional data consumers - Develop, deploy, and optimize analytical dashboards and reporting tools that inform strategic decisions - Write well-structured, testable code in Python, R, and SQL for analytics workflows - Champion version control, documentation, and coding standards across the data team - Partner with data scientists to move analytics products from prototype to production - Identify and integrate AI-driven tools to streamline data processing and reporting - Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of knowledge sharing
Requirements - Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field - 7+ years of post-internship hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data science within the pharmaceutical industry - Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, with experience operationalizing analytics at scale - Strong command of Git and collaborative development workflows - Demonstrated experience designing data architecture and maintaining complex pipelines - Familiarity with Databricks and major cloud platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, or Azure - Experience applying AI techniques to augment data workflows - Excellent communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams - Experience with patient-level data or in regulated environments such as HIPAA, GxP, or FDA contexts is a plus
Nice to have - Background in regulated pharmaceutical or life sciences environments - Prior mentoring or team leadership experience
