Engineering Manager (Remote - FR speaker)

Role overview Take ownership of engineering leadership at a growing technology company on a consulting engagement. You will define the engineering roadmap, lead and mentor engineers, and stay hands-on enough to unblock complex technical work, balancing people leadership with deep technical judgment in a remote, fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities - Define and drive the engineering roadmap in alignment with product and business priorities. - Lead, mentor, and support engineers, setting priorities and removing blockers to help the team perform at its best. - Make and challenge architectural decisions with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability. - Lead complex technical projects from planning through execution, keeping teams aligned on outcomes. - Work closely with product, sales, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into clear technical objectives. - Establish and improve development standards, processes, and ways of working across the engineering organization. - Evaluate emerging technologies across Cloud, AI, Blockchain, and adjacent areas, identifying practical opportunities over hype.

Requirements - Significant experience as an Engineering Manager, Engineering Lead, Head of Engineering, or comparable technical leadership role. - Strong software engineering background with experience in one or more of Python, Ruby, Elixir, or Golang. - Solid understanding of software architecture, modern development workflows, and agile methodologies. - Proven success managing engineering teams and delivering complex technical projects. - Ability to balance technical depth with people leadership and remain hands-on when needed. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a pragmatic, decisive approach. - Comfortable working independently in a remote, fast-moving environment. - Fluent French is mandatory, with strong English communication skills required.
