Senior Drupal Software Developer

Role overview Join a collaborative consulting team that builds custom, accessible, and responsive web applications primarily for public-sector clients. As a senior-level Drupal engineer, you will lead architecture decisions across the full delivery lifecycle, from initial concept through long-term support, while acting as a technical consultant to clients.

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain features for multiple public-sector Drupal projects within an Agile framework. - Lead code reviews and provide constructive feedback on pull requests, promoting best practices and standards. - Produce level-of-effort estimates and break down backlog items and client requests into actionable tasks. - Mentor junior peers through design, implementation, and testing of features. - Identify opportunities for improvement across the team, the codebase, and the underlying technology choices. - Analyze application performance across environments, design optimizations, and report on team and project progress.

Requirements - Deep, current knowledge of the Drupal CMS, with active engagement in the broader Drupal community. - Proficiency across multiple programming languages and technology stacks. - Demonstrated experience leading software development teams using Agile methodologies. - Ability to design and implement solutions spanning the full stack: web UI, mobile, HTTP web services, and databases, while respecting project constraints. - Comfort with modern continuous-integration practices and direct client-facing technical consulting. - Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to balancing effort, complexity, and business value.

Nice to have - Experience architecting large-scale, custom Drupal implementations, including data migrations and external service integrations. - Comfort choosing between contributed modules and custom module development, with a clear sense of long-term tradeoffs.
