Drupal Front End Developer

Role overview Contribute to a collaborative consulting team building accessible, responsive, and visually polished custom Drupal websites and applications, primarily for public sector clients. As a mid-level Drupal Front End Developer, you will lead theming work across the full project lifecycle while partnering with designers, back-end developers, QA, and project managers in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain new and existing Drupal themes, including custom theming where off-the-shelf approaches fall short. - Translate design mockups into accessible, responsive front-end implementations that align with project goals. - Participate in code reviews, give constructive feedback on pull requests, and uphold team standards. - Estimate effort, decompose backlog items, and contribute to sprint planning with product owners and clients. - Profile application performance and implement optimizations across a range of environments.

Requirements - Deep, hands-on experience with Drupal site building and theme development, plus active engagement in the Drupal community. - Proficiency with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and SEO fundamentals. - Comfort working across multiple languages and technology stacks within a full-stack environment. - Demonstrated experience participating in Agile software teams using Scrum or Kanban. - Strong communication skills, including the ability to act as a technical consultant directly with clients.

Nice to have - Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and component-based UI patterns alongside Drupal. - Experience balancing complexity, effort, and business value when evaluating technical alternatives.
