Fullstack Developer

Role overview A remote Fullstack Developer role contributing to an advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) platform that improves how context is preserved during information retrieval. Working under senior staff, the developer will implement and tune components spanning document preprocessing, retrieval strategies, and the dashboard surface, with hands-on exposure to modern embedding models, vector databases, and large language models.

Responsibilities - Build document preprocessing pipelines that support contextual embeddings and BM25-style retrieval. - Develop and refine UI components for the RAG system dashboard. - Wire up integration points between components of the retrieval pipeline. - Test and benchmark different retrieval strategies across varied knowledge domains. - Help implement evaluation frameworks that measure retrieval quality. - Contribute to internal and external technical documentation.

Requirements - Hands-on experience with both frontend and backend development. - Understanding of embedding models and vector search concepts. - Familiarity with REST APIs and data processing pipelines. - Knowledge of modern web development frameworks. - Comfort working in Python for data processing tasks. - Experience with SQL and/or vector databases, plus solid testing and debugging skills. - Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice to have - Familiarity with BM25, TF-IDF, or other lexical search algorithms. - Knowledge of large language models and prompt engineering. - Exposure to performance optimization and information retrieval evaluation metrics. - Experience with data visualization or dashboard development. - Background or interest in NLP, computational linguistics, or document chunking strategies.
