Product Operations Manager

Role overview

This role serves as the operational backbone of a Product organization, enabling engineers, product managers, and designers to concentrate on building great products. The manager designs and maintains the systems, documentation, coordination channels, and data insights that allow product teams to run effectively day to day, while also supporting hiring across the Product function. It blends hands-on execution with strategic systems-building and partners directly with Product leadership.

Responsibilities

- Manage product intake and readiness end-to-end, from initial request through discovery, planning, delivery, and launch. - Maintain product workflows, tools, documentation, and reporting so teams have the information they need to make decisions and move work forward. - Coordinate launch readiness across Product, Design, Partnerships, and Support, including launch calendars, go/no-go reviews, communications, compliance, and post-launch tracking. - Manage research operations, including participant recruitment, intake, scheduling, documentation, and a searchable repository of findings. - Coordinate the full hiring process for Product roles, from application review through interviews, debriefs, and offers, while preparing interviewers, capturing feedback, and keeping the pipeline moving. - Build and maintain dashboards and consistent reporting for key product health metrics such as adoption, retention, and engagement, to support evidence-based decision-making.

Requirements

- 7+ years of experience building organizations, programs, or functions from scratch, rather than only optimizing existing ones. - Track record of operating across organizational boundaries and building trust quickly in new contexts. - Ability to translate between technical or product teams and field-facing or user-facing teams. - Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to own problems before they are well-defined. - Familiarity with product development processes and the product/engineering interface. - Familiarity with business processes and needs, including financial sustainability. - Strong communication skills, especially in remote-first environments.
