Role overview
Build and maintain automated testing for a reusable backend automation library and solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Dataverse. You’ll contribute across UI and API testing, test execution, defect investigation, and continuous improvement in collaboration with QA, development, and business teams.
Responsibilities - Create and maintain automated test scripts using Python, Playwright, and Pytest. - Design and run UI and REST API test suites to check application behavior and backend integrations. - Validate Dataverse and OData endpoints, including data retrieval and integrity. - Test Dynamics 365 model-driven applications, workflows, and related backend processes. - Document results and evidence, log defects, and support automated runs and reporting through Azure DevOps pipelines. - Investigate failures with developers and QA colleagues, verify fixes, and maintain reusable test assets and standards.
Requirements - At least five years of software testing or test automation experience. - Practical Python automation experience and familiarity with Playwright and/or Pytest. - Strong REST API testing skills and experience recording results, evidence, and defects. - Knowledge of Git, CI/CD concepts, and Azure DevOps pipeline-driven test execution. - Experience working in Agile delivery teams and strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Current Government of Canada Reliability clearance or higher, with eligibility for Secret clearance.
Nice to have - Experience with Dataverse, OData, and Dynamics 365 model-driven applications. - Familiarity with enterprise automation frameworks, reusable libraries, backend integrations, and data-driven applications.
