Senior IT Systems Engineer

Role overview Own and improve the internal IT systems used by a globally distributed workforce of more than 250 people. The work spans identity and access, collaboration tools, device management, SaaS governance, automation, and security controls, with responsibility for taking complex improvements from assessment through rollout.

Responsibilities - Administer and strengthen identity services, including single sign-on, account provisioning, multi-factor authentication, access policies, and emergency access. - Lead Google Workspace administration and improve how users, groups, email, shared drives, permissions, and security settings are managed. - Develop device management practices across macOS, Windows, and Linux, including configuration, security policy, software deployment, and onboarding. - Automate employee lifecycle processes and integrations using workflow tools, APIs, webhooks, and scripts; monitor and maintain those automations. - Assess connected systems, troubleshoot root causes, and lead projects through design, implementation, communication, and handover. - Work with Security and audit partners to maintain controls and automate evidence gathering for compliance programs.

Requirements - Hands-on experience across identity, collaboration platforms, endpoint management, and SaaS administration, with strong expertise in at least one core area. - Experience deploying or substantially improving an MDM or endpoint management platform, from requirements and testing through rollout. - Ability to build dependable automations using workflow tools, APIs, webhooks, and Python or a comparable scripting language. - Examples of evaluating and improving systems or processes, with results for employees or IT operations. - Sound independent judgment, clear communication of technical trade-offs, and ownership of work through completion. - Ability to document systems and procedures and share practical guidance with colleagues.

Nice to have - Familiarity with Okta, Google Workspace, or JumpCloud, and the ability to work across the others. - Experience supporting security controls or audit evidence for ISO 27001 or SOC 2 Type 2.
