Sr Software Engineer, EPD Ads

Role overview Contribute to the monetization engineering organization of a large-scale visual discovery platform, building full-stack features that power advertising products used by millions. The work spans ideation through release, including prototyping, A/B testing, and architecting solutions that scale globally. The role is hybrid in spirit, requiring in-person collaboration one to two times per month in the Bay Area, Seattle, or New York City.

Responsibilities - Build full-stack user-facing features that support monetization and ad experiences at scale. - Lead and contribute across the full product development lifecycle, from ideation through prototyping, A/B testing, technical architecture, implementation, and release. - Partner with design, product, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end functionality. - Bring a user-centric perspective to suggest new product ideas and feature improvements. - Apply automated testing and engineering best practices to deliver high-quality, maintainable code. - Grow as an engineer by collaborating with peers on varied, high-impact projects.

Requirements - Minimum of four years of industry experience in full-stack or backend development on consumer or business-facing products. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Proficiency in one or more common backend and frontend stacks, such as JavaScript, React, APIs, storage, caching, and data processing. - Track record of writing reliable, maintainable code used by other engineers. - Curiosity about emerging technologies and the judgment to know what to adopt. - Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style.

Nice to have - Comfort with rapid prototyping and experimentation-driven development. - Experience working closely with applied AI tooling in the product workflow.
