Role overview
This 2027 summer internship places students on engineering teams building features and tools for a large-scale, consumer-facing platform that touches millions of users. Interns work alongside mentors and cross-functional partners, gaining exposure to real production code and learning how AI-assisted development tools fit into modern engineering workflows.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of scoped technical tasks and execute them end to end with support from a mentor, manager, and peers - Write code that is well-documented, tested, and operable in production - Use AI tools daily to brainstorm approaches, refine code, and produce clearer documentation - Share ideas and perspectives openly and grow through feedback and learning opportunities - Collaborate with teammates on real projects that impact end users - Engage with leaders and employees across the company through optional events and programs
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a degree program working toward a Bachelor's or Master's in computer science or a related technical field - On track to graduate by June 2029 - Understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures and algorithms - Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or C++ - Non-academic coding experience through hackathons, personal projects, open source, volunteer work, conferences, or similar - Familiarity using AI as a learning, productivity, and engineering tool, with strong judgment around accuracy, security, and when to ask for help
Nice to have
- Familiarity with frameworks like React or comparable web technologies - A growth mindset and willingness to continuously learn
Benefits and work setup
- Two start-date windows: May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027, or June 14, 2027 – September 3, 2027 - Hybrid or fully remote options depending on team and location, with in-person collaboration roughly 1–2 times per week for hybrid interns - Monthly compensation range of $8,250–$11,000
