Role overview This Software Engineer II role sits on a Monetization Engineering team building features and frameworks for a large-scale inspiration and discovery platform. The work spans the full product lifecycle, from rapid prototyping and A/B testing through architectural design and release, all at a scale that serves millions of users. The position partners closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to ship end-to-end functionality and explore new monetization initiatives.
Responsibilities - Build full-stack, user-facing features that power new monetization experiences on the platform. - Contribute to and lead each step of the product development process, from ideation and rapid prototyping through A/B testing, architectural design, implementation, and release. - Collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to deliver end-to-end functionality that can scale to support very large user bases. - Propose new product ideas and features from a user perspective and help drive new initiatives from inception through technical design and launch. - Use automated testing and engineering best practices to ship high-quality, maintainable code, taking ownership of the components and features developed.
Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in full-stack or backend development, building consumer or business-facing products. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience. - Proficiency in one or more common backend and frontend stacks, including JavaScript, React, APIs, storage, caching, and data processing. - Experience writing reliable, maintainable code intended to be used by many other engineers, along with a habit of keeping up with emerging technologies. - Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across product, design, and engineering teams.
