This role enables Data Scientists and Engineers to find trusted datasets, investigate metrics, and apply consistent experimentation practices while working across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Business Intelligence teams.

Responsibilities

- Define and document practical instrumentation and experimentation standards, then help product engineering teams apply them to priority initiatives. - Develop and improve scalable analysis pipelines and tools that produce dependable insights from complex datasets. - Create self-service processes for accessing trusted data, metric definitions, and analytical findings. - Identify gaps in data quality and discoverability, advocate for focused improvements, and support well-governed data practices. - Maintain clear documentation for datasets, metrics, tools, and operating procedures. - Communicate actionable findings to cross-functional partners and use AI for analysis and prototyping while validating results carefully.

Requirements

- At least 2 years of experience delivering analytics engineering or data solutions in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. - Proficiency with SQL and Python, R, or a comparable programming language for large, high-dimensional datasets. - Experience with nested data, window functions, query optimization, partitioning, workflow orchestration, ETL/ELT pipelines, and DAG dependencies. - Ability to turn open-ended partner needs into clear technical objectives and collaborate across product, engineering, data, and business teams. - Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve engineering productivity while verifying AI-assisted work through testing, validation, source checking, or peer review. - High integrity, ownership, and care when handling sensitive data and making final technical decisions. - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Benefits and work setup

- The role requires in-person collaboration in the office one or two times per month and may be based anywhere in the United States. - The position includes equity eligibility and a US base salary range of $123,696–$254,667, with final compensation determined by factors such as location, experience, travel, and specialized skills.
