Senior Software Engineer (Capture)

Role overview A senior backend engineering role on the capture and ingestion layer of a real-time identity and trust platform. The team builds distributed services that acquire, normalize, and deliver live and recorded audio, video, and telephony metadata from providers such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Google Meet, Amazon Connect, and Genesys into downstream analytics and authentication systems. It is a product engineering position, not an ML model development or model scoring role.

Responsibilities - Design, build, test, deploy, and operate distributed Go microservices and media pipelines optimized for low latency, high availability, and fault tolerance. - Build and evolve integrations with communication technologies and protocols including SIPREC, RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, and enterprise contact center platforms. - Lead projects end to end, from architecture and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support. - Diagnose complex distributed systems issues using logs, metrics, traces, and system tests, improving reliability, capacity, and security. - Provide technical guidance through design reviews, code reviews, architecture decisions, and mentoring. - Participate in a shared on-call rotation after onboarding and production-readiness training.

Requirements - 5+ years of professional software development experience building and operating distributed backend services in production. - Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) or a comparable compiled language, with solid Linux/Unix, networking, concurrency, and performance tuning fundamentals. - Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP, Kubernetes and Docker, and DevOps practices including Terraform or CDK and CI/CD pipelines. - Proven track record diagnosing and resolving complex distributed systems issues, including participation in on-call production support.

Nice to have - Experience with real-time communication protocols and streaming frameworks such as SIPREC, VoIP, SIP, RTP, WebRTC, WebSockets, FFmpeg, or GStreamer. - Experience integrating telephony, contact-center, CPaaS, or meeting platforms such as Amazon Connect, Genesys, Zoom, Teams, or Webex. - Experience with event-driven messaging such as Apache Kafka or MSK, distributed caching, or service-to-service API design with REST or gRPC. - Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and security best practices in compliance-sensitive cloud environments.
