Senior Engineer, Cloud Operations (Contract Position)

Role overview Design and operate cloud infrastructure and services that underpin a large-scale SaaS platform. You will improve reliability, observability, performance and cost efficiency across multi-cloud environments, while automating operational work and strengthening engineering practices. The contract role involves close collaboration across engineering teams and participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Responsibilities - Build, document, operate and optimize highly available infrastructure across AWS and GCP. - Own and evolve platform components, observability systems and operational processes. - Investigate performance, usability and stability issues, then develop durable improvements. - Find manual workflows and bottlenecks and turn them into measurable, automated processes. - Improve cloud scalability, reliability and cost efficiency while promoting engineering standards. - Respond to operational incidents as part of a round-the-clock on-call rotation.

Requirements - 5–7 years of experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering or a similar field. - Experience designing and operating automated cloud systems across regions and availability zones in AWS and GCP. - Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, including EKS or GKE, and service mesh technologies. - Experience with monitoring, alerting, performance analysis and centralized logging at scale. - On-call experience covering troubleshooting, incident response and system administration. - Ability to work independently, take ownership, adapt to changing priorities and communicate across teams.

Nice to have - Telephony infrastructure experience. - Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
