AI Platform Developer

Role overview The Intermediate AI Platform Developer joins a team building the dedicated AI capabilities that allow product engineers to create, deploy, evaluate, govern, and operate AI agents safely and consistently. The role designs and ships production-grade platform services that other teams reuse, with a focus on secure, observable, and governed AI infrastructure.

Responsibilities - Design, build, and operate production-grade AI platform services reused across multiple product teams. - Build components for agent orchestration, runtime execution, tool integration, lifecycle management, evaluation, observability, and governance. - Create shared building blocks such as agent catalogs, workflow builders, Agent IAM, evaluation frameworks, prompt and configuration management, guardrails, retrieval services, and observability tooling. - Produce reusable APIs, SDKs, templates, reference implementations, and documentation that lower the barrier for AI agent development. - Partner with application teams to understand platform needs while keeping product-specific AI features with those teams. - Define standards for deployment, monitoring, evaluation, access control, cost management, and responsible AI practices. - Reduce duplicated AI agent infrastructure and mentor other developers on the platform.

Requirements - Five or more years of hands-on experience building and operating production SaaS products. - Strong background in backend, platform, AI infrastructure, or agent infrastructure services. - Experience designing distributed systems, APIs, cloud-native services, and developer-facing capabilities for internal teams. - Hands-on work with modern AI/LLM infrastructure such as agent orchestration, retrieval, tool calling, evaluation pipelines, Agent IAM, observability, model gateways, or responsible AI guardrails. - Understanding of how to ship AI systems that are secure, observable, testable, governed, reliable, and cost-aware in production. - Ability to work through ambiguity, define technical direction, and convert platform concepts into usable services.

Nice to have - Familiarity with the surrounding stack, including Azure AI services, LangGraph, Python, Node.js, TypeScript, Angular, semantic and vector search, RBAC, secrets management, and audit logging.
