Remote job
Senior Software Engineer - Digital Experience Team
Job details
About this role
Role overview
A fully remote opening for a Senior Software Engineer to join a Digital Experience platform team that builds shared foundations—libraries, gateway services, mobile platform support, observability, experimentation/analytics tooling, and AI enablement—used by frontend and product teams shipping at scale for millions of subscribers. The role is well suited to a strong TypeScript/React engineer who also wants breadth across gateway services, mobile, observability, analytics, performance, and AI integrations.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain shared components, libraries, and common services using Next.js, TypeScript, and Chakra UI so frontend teams can build and scale efficiently. - Oversee and optimize API gateway services, including LUA scripting, partnering with Infrastructure on cloud deployments across AWS, Netlify, and Jenkins to ensure secure, reliable performance. - Build and support the mobile application ecosystem on React Native, maintaining platform reliability across customer-facing surfaces. - Implement and improve monitoring and observability using Datadog to maintain system health, operational visibility, and incident response. - Build and evolve the experimentation and analytics platform with tools such as Statsig and Amplitude so product teams can run tests and act on data. - Drive performance improvements across platform services and customer-facing surfaces, identifying bottlenecks and shipping optimizations at scale. - Contribute to AI enablement across the platform by building shared tooling and patterns that help teams integrate AI capabilities safely.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience developing platform or full-stack applications in JavaScript/TypeScript with Next.js and React. - Experience designing and maintaining shared libraries, common services, or internal platform components consumed by multiple engineering teams. - Hands-on experience with Kong API Gateway, including LUA scripting. - Experience with AWS, CI/CD tooling (Jenkins), and deployments on composable platforms such as Netlify or Vercel, in partnership with Infrastructure teams. - Experience with observability/monitoring (e.g., Datadog), product analytics or experimentation platforms (e.g., Statsig, Amplitude), and performance measurement at scale. - Strong cross-functional communication skills and comfort partnering with Infrastructure, SRE, and security stakeholders. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with Storybook, design systems, and component libraries such as Chakra UI. - Experience building platform tooling or integrations that enable AI-powered product capabilities. - Experience working in subscription and/or e-commerce companies.
Benefits and work setup
- Base salary range of $150,000–$190,000 USD plus a bonus program. - Medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) plan with company match. - Paid time off, work-from-home flexibility, and learning and development programs. - Fully remote within approved U.S. states; some interview or onboarding activities may occur in person. - Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
